- Clark put in his best performance of the 2015/16 season at the China Open. He reached the last 32, beating 1997 World Champion Ken Doherty and Mark Davis before losing to Alfie Burden.
- The Scot also scored an impressive victory over compatriot Graeme Dott at the 2016 Gdynia Open.
- He qualified for the World Snooker Tour for the first time in 2015 by coming through Q School. He beat Leo Fernandez 4-1 in the final round of event one.
- Clark had previously competed in several ranking events as an amateur, notably beating both Kurt Maflin and Pankaj Advani to reach the last 64 of the 2015 Indian Open.
