Davison endured a difficult 2015/16 season. He reached the last 80 in qualifying for the World Championships beating Yu Delu 10-9, before going out against Thepchaiya Un-Nooh at Ponds Forge.
He regained a place on the World Snooker Tour by coming through Q School in 2015. He beat Luke Simmonds 4-3 in the final round of event two.
