Best ranking performance: Tour debut 2011/12
Filipiak earned a place on the main tour for 2011/12 by winning the 2011 European Under-19 Championship, beating Michael Leslie 6-3 in the final. He became Poland's first professional player and the youngest ever snooker pro at the age of 15, benefitting from the scrapping of the rule which stopped players turning pro until the age of 16.
He showed his potential at the World Cup when, as part of the Polish team, he beat John Higgins and Stephen Maguire in singles matches. He was even tipped as a future World Champion by Ronnie O'Sullivan on Twitter.
Filipiak is based in Gloucester during the season and has a scholarship at the South West Academy.
