Jones regained a place on the pro tour in 2016 by winning the European Amateur Championship, beating Jamie Clarke 7-4 in the final in Poland.

He reached the final qualifying round for the 2015 World Championship before losing to Ryan Day.

The young potter from Cwmbran was crowned 2010 European under 19 champion after a 6-4 victory over Scotland’s Anthony McGill.

Jones first started playing snooker aged 11 in Darren Morgan’s Red Triangle Club.
