Steadman dropped off the World Snooker tour after a disappointing 2015/16 season, however he reclaimed his tourcard at Q School as one of the four leading players not to qualify directly.
His best tournament run to date saw him reach the quarter-finals of the 2014 Lisbon open beating the likes of Shaun Murphy and Stuart Bingham along the way.
Steadman made his only Crucible appearance in 2015 where he faced Ronnie O’Sullivan, losing 10-3.
He reached the final of the European Amateur Championship in 2008 but lost 7-6 to David Grace.
