Burden enjoyed a successful 2015/16 season, reaching two quarter finals. He won four matches on a fantastic run the last eight of the 2016 China Open. The 39-year-old also reached the quarter-finals of the 2015 Gibraltar open where he lost against Michael White.
His best run during the 2014/15 season came at the German Masters as he won four matches to reach the last 16. He was denied a first ranking quarter-final place by Ryan Day.
Burden enjoyed one of the best moments of his career in March 2013 when he beat Judd Trump 4-3 to reach the last 16 of the Players Tour Championship Grand Finals in Ireland.
The Londoner regained a place on the professional circuit by winning the 2009 IBSF World Championship, beating Brazil’s Igor Figueiredo 10-8 in the final in India.
A promising footballer in his youth, Burden played in the same Arsenal junior team as Frank Lampard. However, a bad tackle resulting in a horrific leg break put paid to a possible career in football and he pursued a career in snooker.
