Duffy regained a place on the pro tour in 2016 by coming through Q School. He was one of the four leading players on the Order of Merit not to otherwise gain a tour card.
In 2015, he came within two frames of becoming the first player from Sheffield to reach the World Championship. He was knocked out 10-8 in the final qualifying round by Jamie Jones.
He also reached the last 32 of the 2015 Indian Open before a narrow 4-3 defeat against friend Judd Trump.
Duffy won the Paul Hunter scholarship back in 2009. Away from snooker he is a keen fan of Sheffield Wednesday.
